| the Radovanovices Miladin and Marina | Victor Andreevitch Ahtirski |
Upon the outbreak of revolution in Tsarist Russia, many Russian descendants, and Russian aristocrats were forced to flee their mother land, and escape the bloodshed and savage crimes that every war brings. In addition to these refugees peasants, and the lower class intellects whom integrated with the aristocrats, and were forming new families in the newly adopted country... These lines are taken from the unpublished book yet, "The cry of a noble's seed" by Victor Andreevich Ahtirski, the citizen of Canada, one of the descendants of the noble family Krasicki. They lived in Kursk before the Revolution. The book is devoted to the hard and sad destiny of a noble family that had to leave its motherland and settle down overseas. A daughter of the author of the book, Marina Radovanovic, helps her father. She posted a message by e-mail to our site http://WWW.KURSK.ORG asking to help her in searching her relatives and getting any information connected to the family. In 1918-1920 (approximately) her great-grandfather Nikolai Krasicki sent his wife Alexandra and his three daughters Zoja (Marina's grandmother), Nina and Tamara to Constantinople, and he himself stayed in Russia, as he couldn't brake his duty. What more we know is that the name of her grandfather from the side of her father was Andrei Alekseevitch Ahtirski. Since then the connection with the motherland and the relatives there was lost. It is a pity but we do not have anything else about this family. We ask everybody who can help us in searching to connect us via e-mail kursk@hotbox.ru. We are going to put the new information to our site http://WWW.KURSK.ORG. We are very grateful to the chief of the Kursk regional historical society Bugrov Y. for his help in searching the relatives of the Krasicki family. We will be grateful to any help that you can provide us. We are informing Marina about the results of searching continuously. In the nearest future she promised to provide us some photo materials about the history of her family.

------A letter from Canada--------

I write to you wonderful people of Russia by a miracle, a blessing so to speak. It is with full gratitude and appreciation to a most wonderful, thoughtful human being, his wonderful family, and friends who made this possible for me. I live in a land far, far away from you, yes a nice land indeed, but within me there is something pulling to an unknown place for me. Only through stories and discussions and pictures do I know of a beautiful country with warm friendly people where once my grandparents and great-grandparents lived. The situation, or fate has led my grandparents to another country many, many years ago, and finally their descendants are now scattered through the world. Some are in Europe, and America, and my family and I write to you from Canada. Perhaps....we sit and think, perhaps I might have a cousin, an aunt or an uncle still living there? It is a great pity not to know! I decided to look, and search, and anyway I can to find some information, so I can tell my children of a beautiful country and wonderful people where their great-grandparents once lived, and of their relatives still living there, to be able to write to them, and somehow, to fill in the gap of many years that we didn't know of each other. In these modern days of high technology, fast paced lifestyle....school, work, family, and in constant need of progress and success, we stop to think, and realize that life and the world is ever changing, lets not forget our roots, our families, our friends! With all this in mind, good people of Russia I ask if there are any relatives of Nikolai Vladimirovich Krasicki, Zoya, Tamara and Nina Krasicki? I feel I would be the richest in the world if I come to know of even one relative of mine. But....I must add even if there isn't anyone there related to me, I am still rich and blessed indeed, I have through my search met a most considerate and beautiful person, his family and friends who have proven to me that this world does possess warm, understanding people, and more so from the beautiful country of Russia. I thank Sergy and his family and friends!

Far across the ocean wide, A bold and beautiful country side, With mountain peaks in the sky, Thick, lush forests so tall and high, Abundant flowers in colour and size, Fragrant breezes whisk right by, To be lost in a splendor such as this, Is a fantasy, a wish one can't resist, On one side the cold and white clean snow, Yet on the other side exotic plants grow, From north to south, and east to west, I travel by thought and not by jet, To a land so large, so splendid indeed, I just sit and think that's all I would need, A moment's reflection of a beautiful land, A land called Russia, A land so grand

In reality, distance is a physical factor to a degree, People's common lives, and feelings one can see, No boundaries exist for warmth and concern, A hand reaches across miles, and one can learn, There is nothing more valuable than kindness and grace, Nothing more fulfilling even to paramounts of space, A splendid occurence have I sustained, A wonderful friendship has maintained, To a special pair of people are these words for, Whom I admire and respect more and more.
