Who of us donāt like to have a good time?! One of the best places for it, in Kursk, is situated at a place with such a poetic name Mokva, by the roundabout road. That is a traktir (tavern) with the same name ö Mokva. It appeared at the times of early perestroika in former USSR. The traktir is a family business of the Kononovs. It is situated far from the fuss and noise of the town. That is why if you really want to relax from the every day routine you must come there. Any holidays or whatever you want to keep in your memory go there gaily in a friendly atmosphere. Our friends from Witten, Germany, were not exceptions. They liked it so much that our friends from Witten invited the housewife of the traktir to Germany. In Germany she shared her art of Russian cookery with the Germans. The dishes that were prepared in Germany were the most popular in the traktir.
Go to the traktir Mokva and you will be met with bread and salt, according to Old Russian tradition. Coming there once you will want to come there again and again.
